A VOICE IN THE WILDERNESS

Hear humanity plead
its best ends we serve;
follow nature’s lead

Though power feed
on passion’s every nerve,
hear humanity plead

Don’t let desire impede
intuition’s learning curve;
follow nature’s lead

Though a signal greed
its profits coyly conserve,
hear humanity plead

Fear progress speed
till its axis tilt, we swerve?
Follow nature’s lead

Left only stars to read,
(as well we may deserve)
hear humanity plead,
follow nature’s lead
